In this five day camp, students will work in groups of four to strategize, design, build and program robots for a competition which will be held on Friday. These student groups will be guided and supported by members and advisors of the Bear Metal Robotics Team based out of Tahoma High School. The robots will be constructed around the VEX Cortex Microcontroller and associated components. Participants will have the opportunity to experience the thrill of competition while gaining exposure to current robotics technology. Participants will also have the opportunity to see some modern manufacturing equipment in action, such as a 3D-printer, a 3-axis CNC milling machine and a CNC-Laser cutter.
