2024 Washington Girls Generation
October 12 - 13
TEAM INFORMATION
General Information:
FRC Team 2046 is excited to host the 2024 Washington Girls’ Generation robotics competition. This competition will be held on October 12 - 13 with optional load-in on the 11th at Tahoma Senior High School in Maple Valley. The goal for Girls’ Generation is to provide an inclusive experience for underrepresented communities in STEM. In that spirit, we welcome all to participate. We plan to use the latest Official FRC Robot game rules for “Crescendo”, but inspections will not be held.
For Teams: The cost of attendance is $300. The main contact from your team can register for the event by following this link: Girls Gen 2024 Team Registration
For Spectators: The public is welcome to attend for free! Drop by to see what FIRST Robotics is all about! Competition will run Saturday 10/12 9a - 5p, and Sunday 10/13 8a - 4p.
Additional Information:
Trailer Parking: There will be a space to park your trailer during the day overnight near where you load in. We will direct you to where to park your trailers. The gates to the parking lot will be locked at night and there are security cameras in the parking lot. We will not have a security person on staff throughout the night however.
Practice Matches: Due to timing and logistical challenges, we are not planning to have official practice matches. We do plan to have a wooden practice field similar to those at the district events. The practice field will be in a separate Auxiliary gym and will be open when the pits open at 7:30 am, Saturday morning.
COVID Protocols: There are no COVID restrictions (masking, vaccination requirements etc.) at this event.
Shop Access: We will have our machine shop open for teams in need. The shop will be open for visitation as well (safety glasses required). We also have a variety of spare parts from our own supply that we’re happy to give out if needed.
Check In: Please have someone from your team check in immediately upon arrival. There will be a check in as you enter the main doors on the East side of the school. We plan to make calls to teams who are not checked in by 8:00 am.
Drive Team Pins: We plan to have drive team pins (5 per team) available to pick up at Pit Admin.
Robot Radios: We will be using the 2024 radios.
Alliance Selection Rules: We will be using the new alliance selection rules proposed by FIRST that will be used in the 2025 season.
