Bear Metal at Reefscape Kickoff

Today marks the start of build season for thousands of FIRST teams. Bear Metal enthusiastically watched the game launch simultaneously with teams all across the globe. The game, Reefscape, presents several intriguing changes to the competition, as well as bringing a new challenge to FRC. It isn't an actual water game, but the dream is still alive! 

With the excitement of the game, and new ideas fresh in the minds of Bear Metal, they quickly got to work reading over the game manual to begin brainstorming new ideas for the robot. Splitting up into several groups, the design sub-team got to work making some initial CAD models, and the general programming team got together to plan out this year's scouting app. The strategy group started to figure out what areas are worth scoring in and the method conceptualization group began brainstorming mechanism ideas.
