Our Offseason Demo Team, Spare Metal 9996

Spare Metal is our off-season demo team, which has been assigned the number 9996. Aside from the decidedly funny branding, this team competes with the 2046 practice bot, Playbear Carti, at offseason events. Spare Metal came about in the 2023 offseason, first competing at 2023 Bordie Charged, where it dominated teams as good as 2557 and 1778 until being eliminated in semifinals match number 9. This year, Spare Metal is trying to achieve a performance closer to that of Bear Metal, which it is doing a decent job at. The aim of Spare Metal is to give the next drive team members practice at competitions similar to the experience of normal competition, as well as giving pit crews double the work!
