Subteam Spotlight: Bear Metal Business

Bear Metal has started off strong into week two, and has maintained momentum all throughout the build season. Design was working tirelessly the past couple of days to prepare for the PDR (Preliminary Design Review) and the end of the week. The PDR allows for the team to discuss, and finalize the robot design before fabrication gets the CAD. With this, we can iron out any wrinkles in the design to ensure we have the best robot possible.

As a FIRST team, we require lots of resources to function as a team. Whether it be materials for field build, stock for the robot, new motors, money for food and travel, it is all handled by our business team. Our business team works around the clock to make sure we have the resources we need. Impact and Woodie Flowers awards are also handled by our business team. This allows for specific members to be trained for these awards.

While much of our marketing and online presence is taken care of by our media team, our business team manages all of our outreach events. They work closely with the Secretary of Communications to plan, manage, and execute our outreach events smoothly. Without them, our team would not be nearly as successful as we are now.
