Week 1 Recap and Field Update

Today, Bear Metal is rounding off a very successful week one of build season. Design was very productive this week, working hard to get the robot CAD to fabrication. Our strategy team was working alongside design to discuss our overall strategy, to make sure our robot was up to the task. In another corner of the shop, our assembly team was working diligently to make several prototypes for various components for our robot.

While design and assembly were working on our robot, our field build team was also hard at work this week assembling a public field for this year's game. Each year we have a team of people composed of both students and mentors assigned the task of building a field for each season respectively. They work hard all week to make sure the field is assembled as soon as possible, so that not only Bear Metal, but other FIRST teams in the area can have a full field to practice on.
