  • Each meal should feed approximately 25 people and should be dropped off by 5:00 pm at the cage. Most nights, 2 families will be bringing meals to feed a total of 50 people. Please see the sign up on your day for any date-specific information.

  • We will need dinners for students and mentors working late in the shop on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays (some select Wednesdays and Sundays too - see Sign Up Genius)

  • We will also need lunches on Saturdays.

  • You may want to offer a gluten-free, vegetarian, or lactose-free option.

  • You do not have to supply paper products.

  • Please provide any necessary serving pieces, condiments, sides, etc. LABEL your items and return after 6pm for anything you would like back.

  • Please deliver Robotics Lab meals to the cage - drive into the bus loop, go down the alley (school building will be on your left). First chain link fenced area on your left = the cage. Park there, go in to let them know you have arrived, and the team will help you carry food in.

  • Please deliver Field House meals to the Field House/practice shed - located on the student parking side of the school near the athletic fields.

  • Please look at all of the meals that are already listed for your week - variety is nice! Please try not to bring the same thing as someone else two days in a row.

  • Please limit pizza to once a week! If someone has already signed up to bring pizza during the week you are thinking of bringing pizza, pick a different meal or a different week to bring pizza!

  • Kids love dessert too!

Meals are for students and mentors

who will be working in the shop past 6:00pm.

Each family must sign up for at least two meals.

Please be sure to add your dates to your calendar so you don’t forget!

If for some reason you need to cancel, please contact us on Discord or via email ASAP so we can make sure the team isn’t left without dinner!

Melissa DeFrance (BMBCSecr@gmail.com) or Alexis Leonard (BMBCAlexis@gmail.com)

Due to several food allergies on the team, we have a NO NUTS rule.

We also have a couple of gluten-free, vegetarian or lactose intolerant students on the team. Please consider having options for these students as well. Thank you!

Tips

  • Keep it simple (no need for fancy recipes)

  • Disposable serving items are easiest, unless you are able to return to the high school at 7:00pm to grab all of your stuff. Anything left behind will be thrown away.

  • Consider using Crockpots or Instant Pots (use to cook or just to keep your food warm). Meals that can be brought in a crock pot, instant pot or large aluminum baking tray make for easy transport and clean up.

  • Cheap (disposable) baking pans and serving utensils - Dollar Tree, or buy baking pans in bulk at Costco.

  • There are paper plates, plastic utensils and napkins at the shop, you don’t have to supply those.

  • Students are expected to have their own water bottles, so you do not have to provide drinks.
